About Us

Situated in the Karoo in South Africa - on the same land as Eastern Cape Bowhunting, Sable Lodge - Outpost Game Breeders make use of our 6 000-hectare land to breed the finest Buffalo, Sable, Roan, Nyala and Bontebok for safari and hunting lodges, and other game breeders in the Eastern Cape and nationally.

Established in 2012, Outpost Game Breeders saw the need to breed our own bulls to hunt in order to meet our clients' demand for larger horn sizes. Our females are sold privately to local farmers, hunters and other breeders throughout South Africa.

After recognising the need for high quality hunting game, breeding in the Karoo was the next logical step. With the vast temperature differences between summer and winter, keeping the parasites away, and the surrounding Karoo vegetation, we found our own land to be the ideal place to breed our game.
